Our Story 

We are a small, independent, family‑run business with over 25 years’ experience in the coffee industry. Our journey began with a chance meeting with an eccentric Italian businessman in Leeds — an encounter that sparked a lifelong passion for espresso and freshly roasted coffee. What started as a simple introduction to Italian coffee culture soon grew into a career spanning more than two decades, one that has always felt more like a hobby than a job.

Over the years, we played a key role in building and developing several successful family businesses within the coffee and catering equipment sector, helping to grow them from small start‑ups into respected and trusted names. These included Caffe Society, CS Catering Equipment, Moreish Coffee Roasters, and Spectrum Coffee Roasters. Through this journey, we gained extensive experience across coffee machines, roasting, training, servicing, and wholesale supply — supporting cafés, hospitality venues, and coffee professionals across the UK.

After many years working within family businesses, a new chapter began with the creation of Mooring Coffee Co. Bringing together the knowledge, experience, and passion developed since first entering the industry in 2001, we founded the company to combine everything we believe great coffee businesses need: trusted equipment, exceptional coffee, and genuine long‑term support.

Today, Mooring Coffee Co remains proudly family‑run, built alongside my wife and inspired by our young daughter Evelyn. Our wider family — including six children between us, three of whom are autistic — continues to shape the values behind the business and the way we approach both family life and the customers we serve.

Over the years, we have developed expertise in coffee blending, Q grading, barista training, and coffee roasting. Alongside this, we are fully trained in coffee machine servicing, spares, and repairs, allowing us to support our customers long after a sale is made.
